Wine Wednesday: Misunderstood Monsters

Wine Wednesday: Misunderstood Monsters

October 14, 2026, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

October Topic: Misunderstood Monsters. Creatures, monsters, misfits who are trapped by societal fears, prejudices, or misunderstandings.

Suggested Readings for Topic:
Classic: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Contemporary:   A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness  or  The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

Sage & Dragonfly’s book club, Wine Wednesday, is unusual in that we assign topics, not titles. We come together and talk about books we’ve read that relate to the topic. This way we find out about authors and titles we want to read, and get to discuss books we love (or don’t love).  We’ve recently re-opened membership as some of our group have moved away or have schedule conflicts. Come check us out while we have openings.  While you can read any book you like on the topic, we also offer suggestions to encourage new reads and shared discussions, as well.

We bring refreshments to share.

Seasonal Hours:

Tuesday - Friday 10am to 5pm
Saturday 9:30 am to 3pm
Closed Saturday, July 4th

We have a variety of events each month,
including our Poetry Open Mic Night
on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
